We set out on this project on 1st December 1994, as they say in Catalan, “with a shoe on one foot and a slipper on the other”, in other words, without a penny to our name, as we only had the restaurant.
By June of the following year we had prepared the reception room on the first floor for the first wedding –which we now call our Salt Mountain Room–, as well as a barbecue for outdoor dinners. From that point on, we gradually renovated our grounds, landscaping the gardens, fixing up the car park... until we opened the HOTEL in 1997, with ten double rooms, each one totally unique. In fact, we went so far as to personalise them by giving each a name.
At the end of 1998 we added a few meters to the building to create an exclusive dining room where guests can dine more peacefully. This is basically set up for companies.
In 1999, we installed a swimming pool where the barbeque was formerly located, to enhance the hotel’s services.
In 2002 we were able to expand the hotel to accommodate the 26 rooms that we currently have, so as to completely fulfil the lodging needs of our guests –single rooms, doubles, matrimonial rooms, family rooms and suites–.
At the end of 2003 we were determined to get as close to perfection as possible in the management of our establishment, our customer service, organization, professionalism, etc. So, we embarked on what is perhaps our most ambitious mission yet: the Q-UNE 182.001:2005 European tourism quality certificate, making all the refurbishment and staff investments that such a certificate entails.

In 2006, we were awarded the Q-UNE 182.001:2005 and ISO 9001:2000 dual quality certification, so achieving the objective we had set ourselves.
This way, we became the first establishment in the Bages and one of the few in the country to achieve this dual certification.
In 2008, our hotel was awarded a fourth star.
In 2009, we opened "Espai de les Veles" (the Space of the Sails), an enchanting construction surrounding the lawn and swimming pool that has room for up to 300 diners for banquets and conventions.
All of this was only possible thanks to each and every one of the professionals that have come through our, and their, home, since the very first day. Currently and in keeping with the organizational structure based on the quality system, we have surrounded ourselves with young bright staff members that are full of promise.
And so, here we are, with all of our virtues and flaws, with our hopes and our setbacks, yet most of all, with a great deal of LOVE.
